Who We Are

Maryland Opioid Research (MOR) is a collection of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine scientific researchers and clinicians who are experts in opioids and opioid use disorder. We are located on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus in Baltimore Maryland and are dedicated to using science to understand and improve the care of persons with opioid exposure.

To learn more about our individual team members, go to our webpage “Meet Our Researchers”

What We Do

Our research is funded by several different organizations, most prominently the National Institutes of Health National Institute on Drug Abuse. We have several ongoing research studies, both inpatient and outpatient, that are recruiting participants who are using opioids and want to stop and who are being treated for opioids. We also have studies for persons who are not using opioids (healthy individuals) who may be exposed to opioids as part of a study.

These studies generally provide all study-related care free of charge and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.

You can learn more about each study and complete a brief screening NOW to see if you may be eligible by visiting our webpage “Current Research Studies”, or by contacting us at 410-550-2993.
